I have a 97 Blazer with factory sunroof an I am having a sunroof issue. It will open completely and works as it should. It is about 1/8- 3/16 of an inch short of closing at the front and the rear of the glass is down due to the fact it doesn’t go forward enough for the rear to raise up. Obviously no vent position either. This is a recent issue. It closed properly and the vent position worked previously. Seems to operate smoothly and no grinding or odd noises. I have cleaned the tracks and I do not see anything broken or obstructing anything. Any help or suggestions on what to look for is appreciated

 

I'd have to see it myself before I could take a stab at it. I'm going to guess that something is jammed up in the front that's stopping it from going forwards. The glides in the tracks are plastic, are any of them busted up?

 

I do not see anything broken or jamming it from closing. Now I have a new issue, the sunroof is trying to raise or go into the vent position as it is closing.
goes back or opens fine but tries to raise up as it goes forward.
Do you know how to close it manually? I watched a couple videos on that and popped the cap off the motor, but am not able to turn the gear on the motor either direction as i saw in at least 2 different videos.
