97 chevy blazer door hinges

have 219k mi on 97 blazer and have to replace door hinges for 2nd time in 6 mo. Is it advisable to weld reinforcing washer on jamb hinge same diameter as pin to keep door level?
Also neutral safety switch went out on same blazer, do u have to replace the whole column or can u just replace the 2 gears that tell the vehicle is in park and will allow u to remove the ignition key?

key will not come out of ignition when in park, was wondering if there is another safety switch on column?

That happened to my 02 when I was under there working on brake light I somehow blew a fuse. Key got stuck.

On edit: that might have been on a 1999 Lexus, not a 2002 Blazer...
