97 stuck in park
 

My wife tookoff last night in the Blazer and realized she had no dash lights or brake lights stopped at the end of the drive put it in park and now the shifter will not move out of park, will take any advice anyone can give...thanks

Ewww! Sounds like you blew a few fuses there dude! IDK much about the interior setup in pre 98' models (in regards to fuse box locations), but check you fuses. There is one for your dashboard/radio i believe in the interior box...3rd row down if memory serve me correctly. You truck not shifting out of park...could be a fuse too...that one, if you are so lucky, would be under the hood. Your truck isn't registering that you are applying the brake pedal when you go to shift, so you cant?! If you are able to still start the car, that would be my guess. Check the brake pedal/ under the dash for any detached wires, etc...and most importantly, GOOD LUCK! ;)

Wow thought i figured it out but keeps blowing the parking light fuse and the hazard light fuse gonna check some more stuff tomorrow after work.
