97 vs. 98 Rims/tire size
 

might be a silly question, but here goes

So i found some rims with tires that a person is selling that were on a 97 blazer. Im just not 100% sure if the bolt pattern/spacing was the same for a 97 and a 98.

Also i currently have 235 70 R15 on my truck and the tires on the rims i want to purchase are 235 75 R15. Im pretty sure the truck can handle the extra tire but id rather be sure before i spend the money, any help/info would be greatly appreciated

rims are the same bolt pattern. if you want some rims from the 80's, they will bolt on. same for gmc and chevy. same bolt pattern.

the amount of tire you are talking about is barely anything. literally 5% of 235mm taller.

X2 to Twip-But I have never seen a Blazer shod stock with 70 series rubber...for most apps the 75 series was standard. Virtually any 15 (or larger)sneaker will fit,many without modifcation,depends upon what you want to spend on wheels and what you plan to do with your unit. I recently saw a stock 99 with 245/70-16 with no modifications(or so was told)and they seemed to fit well.Do your homework...

lots of s seirise came standard with 235/70r15. 235/75r15's are an optional size that seems to be more common so lots of people get them.

What other sizes will fit on stock rims besides 235/75/15? Tallest and widest.

Fitting it on the stock rim isn't the problem. It's fitting it into the tire well and having it be driveable. I know for a fact that you can fit 255/70/15's on stock rims with stock suspension. I ran those on my stock Blazer for a year before I started lifting. I *believe* that you can fit 265/70/15's but you risk rubbing on the frame, sway bar, and maybe the fenders. You can also fit 30x9.5x15's on stock rims and stock suspension without rubbing. Any bigger than that requires lift and possibly fender trimming.

Personally for stock suspension I think 255/70/15's look a lot better than 30x9.5's on factory rims. I like meaty (wider) tires, and the 30x9.5's are the same width as the factory 235's. Too skinny for my taste.
