98 GMC Jimmy 4x4 to K5 Blazer frame swap?

Hello Everyone,

Have you guys ever thought or heard of a blazer/jimmy body on a K5 frame, engine, and axel set up. My theory is it may be easier to upgrade the leaf springs from that set up than to chop up the front end for a SAS kit or worry about CV angles with the current set up. I'm looking for the truck to be a full axel system that can manage 40'' tires with a 6-8'' lift and a 400 hp spectrum, but still try to keep the tires under the body for daily driving purposes. https://blazerforum.com/forum/images/icons/icon10.gif Question is, is it feasable or even worth the effort or money difference. It would give me the opportunity to get down to the frame and rebuilt it into a brand new truck from the frame up, that will last another 30 years.

Hopefully I planted a seed in your heads that can work with mine to figure a good solution to my frankenstien project.

Thanks guys!

V/R

Blaine
