Hopefully When you bought your Dash Cluster off Ebay, You made sure it was from a 1998 S10 ONLY, Any other year just wont work correctly.....

RE: 98 LS instrument cluster PROBLEM

Check all of your ground wires on the truck...there is a main ground on the radiator core under the battery tray mount at the core support imediately under the headlight on the passenger side. Also make sure that all the engine grounds are good. If you have to remove them and make sure that contact area is good...then check all your grounds inside the dashboard area, make sure that all the connectors are tight with the Body Control Module (BCM) and working properly...also if the dealer will ask them for documents on how to program the dash to the computer...the service department service writer might do this for you....
