99 blazer blowing hot air with a/c on
when it started warming up this year I did a full service on my a/c system and everything now works as far as compressor and system weight and charge levels. its still blowing hot I do not think the heater valve is closing and haven't been able to find it. anyone have any suggestions?

When the A/C is on, if the accumulator is cold, and the lower line at the evaporator is warm/hot, chances are there's a problem with the temperature blend door actuator.
IF that's the problem, (temperature blend door actuator) the glove box needs to be removed to gain access to the actuator, (item #3 in the image below). It's a tight fit getting your hand and tools in there, but it CAN be done without removing the instrument panel. https://blazerforum.com/forum/attach...ine=1402440753 The actuator is available at most auto parts stores. You'll need to tell them if you have manual HVAC, or Automatic Climate Control, (2 different part numbers). |
