99 Blazer will not start, need help
Just replaced the plugs/wires/distributer about a month ago due to hard starts when it was wet out and the truck has been running mint. This morning I go to start it before work and I turn the key and nothing. No click no nothing. I turn it back again it it fires right up. Ok. So after work I go to start it up and yeah, turn the key and nothing. No click, no crank. The dash lights work, battery is fine as far as I know. Ignition switch? Something else? Help!
Hm, just read this thread:

sounds just like my problem. I'll give it a wack with a hammer and see if she goes tommroow. In the mean time, anything else?>

Yep, starter for sure.
I gather your buying the starter from a autoparts store, if so, get them to test the old one, its free.
It could be a bad connection, or a corroded cable. The starter test will let you know for sure. Its not uncommon for a starter cable to corrode inside the cable. See it before.

Shouldn't be too hard to check the connections (but that is a relative experience for most people. Some people love being on their back under a vehicle, while others may dread it..you get my point).
I once bought a dead vehicle for $500.00. Wouldn't start for nothing for the previous owner. I suspected bad battery cables. The truck was in pretty good shape otherwise. I towed it home, replaced the two battery leads (one to starter, one to ground), wha-la, vehicle started right up. Inspected the cables (peeled the insulation off and the internal wires was corroded almost to nothing), outwardly they look OK but tiny hairline cracks in the insulation let in moisture over time. Sold that truck 3 months later for $1500.00 (on Ebay).

^ ditto
Altough I find it easier to check the starter connections through the fender, after you take the tire off. Slice the gap gaurd and shine a flashlight in there. The connections on the starter are easier to access this way.
