99 jimmy skid plates
 
Im thinking about building custom skidplates for my jimmy for when i go mudding this year, anyone have any ideas or pictures of some. im pretty good at welding just not to sure about how i should go about this...any help would be greatly apreciated, thanks

I would look at a ZR2 and see how the factory skid plates are on that. I would probably even take the skidplates from a ZR2 and the crossmembers or whatever is needed to bolt them up to the truck...then you can take the suspension lift they come with and put on some 31's

@ jpimp I really dont think the zr2's have a "lift kit" on them. They are just set up different and have stronger tbars and things like that. I know they are a tiny bit taller stock but its not from what you call a "lift kit"


If you want skid plates the easiest would be to buy them I would think unless you have access to a pressbrake and wanna fork out some dough to buy some pretty thick aluminum plate and then you would still nees to cut them to size. I wouldnt recommend making them out of steel, that would be crazy heavy bro.

I have the three from my blazer for sale if you want to make an offer(aluminum). I have an add posted in the classifieds on here for them. Shipping should only be like 30 bucks as long as you are in the states.
