Okay... I think i'll buy the pump(delco) and book my buddy the mechanic and ask him to test the wiring before removing the pump... that way it's either a nice cheap day(wiring) or it's not but either way i'll be fixed up. I just don't have the facilities to attempt a pump swap myself...nor the abilities :)

Okay...new pump is in. It's a strange feeling not hearing the pump turn on like my old loud one...but it fires up beautifully.

As a bonus i had a p0453(evap high pressure sensor) code constantly on and now that the sensor (which is on the pump) has been replaced that annoying check engine light is gone.
