?? about part

The hose from the pcv valve broke, was cold today and it was brittle, didnt realize I needed an elbow but got another hose for a temp fix, noticed that there are no clips holding the top of something down, it just pulls out and has a big O-ring around it, it has been staying in place but would like to get it fixed, what would I need to get it fixed looked on oreilly and it shows the elbow that I need and a pcv valve but nothing else, what is that called where the pcv valve hose goes into??

Do you have a picture? The PCV valve plugs into the valve cover and as best I can remember, there is no retainer. There is a seal in the valve cover and the PCV valve pushes into that seal.

Maybe you are refering to another area?

no pic, picture the pcv valve in the valve cover, there is a short hose off the pcv valve then a hard plastic molded line, then on the end of the molded line there is a pcv elbow and it goes down into this part on the motor, i am trying to look for a picture and searching, its where the pcv valve connects to at the other end

Take a look at this and is it item number 20? If it is, that is called a PCV Cover. If I recall from the work I did last year on my intake manifold, that part gets retained by being rotated into a locking position. There are no bolt down clips. That is my recollection. Here is the Part Number (12552750 which is supposed to include teh seal as well.) I think the retaining tabs are part of the upper manifold (Black plastic part). Someone else may be able to confirm.

Yes, thank you so much.. it is #20, well i had to pull the hose back off and since it was tight, I think I may have broke the rotating clips that hold it, I am going to go back to oreilly tmr and get the pcv elbow, it was cracked and broke and thought i could get a hose in there but its to tight of a bend
