ABS Issue
Am having a ABS dilemma here, and it actually led me to almost getting HIT because my tires prematurely locked up. I am leading to a bad ABS module, but have yet to check the sensors, etc.
ABS Light pops up under moderate braking or city braking(meaning braking a lot in a trip). Sometimes I can press the brake pedal ALL the way til it stops and let off quickly and it goes off.
What nearly caused me to skid out into traffic. Was on a side road...just had rained(but its been raining for a week) had to moderately brake as a light turned yellow before I could safely pass under it. Tire hit a small hole and locked up both front tires. I let off the brakes long enough to steer towards the curve then the tires locked up again, but the turn put me in the curb(5mph if that) rather than into the intersection.
Today pulling into parking place it felt like one tire was locking up as I felt the the brake pedal pulse which is from the ABS activating.
Checked brake fluid...at normal. This is why I am leading to an ABS module. Now our ABS module on these vehicles is like most other vehicles correct? It is in the engine compartment with brake lines running from master cylinder to it then the four lines sending it to each individual brake assembly?

Check the sensors first! They are magnetic and like to hold onto bits/pieces. I use an air compressor to clean them every time I do pads.
With the pedal pulsing, it sounds like it's working (maybe just too much/often).

I cant say for sure because I never tried it.. but I'd suggest pulling the ABS fuse until you find the problem.
Make sure everything else works okay after you do it.
I had it happen once on my truck, but replaced the hub just after, and it didnt happen again.

Debris/distance/housing & wiring integrity is what matters.

LF Speed sensor failure.....was a new hub too only 11k on it. But since I can not find the receipt I may have to pay for it again. Going to give my contacts some calls though.
If that does not fix it then rebuild the ABS module(place in ATL does, and if my VIN shows it can be rebuilt) or replace it.
