I got a 2001 blazer transmission slipping but only when gets hot. it has 4l60e in it. But when it starts to slip bad rpm goes up to 4. I shut the blazer off in N then start it right back up and it act likes its normal for a mile or two longer. I got the 4x4 motor out of my blazer. I need truly some help on this.

This is a really old post, but I'm hoping someone may see my post. Does anyone have a picture of the VSS part that needs to be replaced? I've bought 2 different parts (that the store said was correct) and neither has worked. HELP

Unhappy same problems only different

I had replaced number 3 sensor when I started having this problem last year and it cleared up and started working again, replaced number 3 because the info I was given said that was the vss, but, now it started doing it again, I had no idea, there is actually 3 of the same sensor type, in three different locations until I went through the pain of taking the transfer case out of my 2000 lt blazer, so, was wondering if I should just buy 2 more sensors and replace the two I haven't already, and place the transfer case back, hoping that the problem is resolved, or just buy another transfer case and put in.

if you go through the feeds there is a diagram that shows you where the speed sensor is, it's actually on the back top drivers side of the transfer case, most of them are a black plastic sensor and they screw into the case and it is a two pin or two wire connector that goes to it
