Default ABS warning light is on.

The ABS warning light is on on the dashboard and I have talked to a few people on what this could be. A friend of a friend who is a mechanic said that GM's a are notorious for the ABS sensor wire to be cut. This is the wire that attaches behind the routers on both passanger and driver sides. I took his advice and did find a spliced wire so I repaired it. Problem is light is still on so I tried resetting the ECM by pulling fuses and and disconnecting the battery but still the same results. Any other ideas on what this could be?

You might have a defective wheel speed sensor. Unfortunatly without a scantool you really can't diagnose it yourself. Pay the diagnosis fee at a repair shop and do the repair yourself.

Or it could be dirt on the sensor.
