Default Air con problems

Hi, having a prob with my aircon, have topped up refrigerant, but still no aircon unless I jump the wires on the condenser switch. Then aircon cuts in, remove jumper and reconnect switch, all runs OK then, until next time you start car, then back to no aircon. I believe it is probably this switch(low pressure switch?). Am in UK and these things are hard to get and will probably cost a fortune. So could do with a hand to pinpoint the problem. any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

It may be the switch. Maybe not. Mine was doing the same thing. It turned out to be a loose connection at the pin receptacle. Try this. It fixed mine. Look in the connector (plug). Sometimes the little tabs in there just need bending in slightly to firm up the connection. If you have a dental pick that works the best. It sounds like your switch is operating. They usually either do or don't.
