All 3 O2's bad?
Im getting a few codes
p0135 p0141 p0155 It seems strange that all 3 O2 sensors would be bad, is there something else that would cause this? Other codes Im getting: p0300 p0420 p0440 Ive searched and read up on these codes, just wondering if any of the other codes could make it appear that the O2 sensors are bad. |
Hello Maddzz,
Not sure how many miles you have on your vehicle, or what kind of maintenance you regularly do. I am guessing here. I think the P0300 could cause most of what you are getting. I would check my cap, rotor, and wires first. I had a similar thing happen to me going down the highway. I had a a wire go bad on one of my spark plugs. It set off all kind of codes. I am sure if one of your cylinders is not burning fuel properly you could get these codes. I would start with the easy stuff first. Good Luck. Mark |
What exact order were the DTC's retrieved? The first DTC can cause subsequent DTC's to be set in memory. Always diagnose & repair the first DTC, clear all codes and perform a drive cycle, http://www.obdii.com/drivecycle.html If the SES light comes on during or after the drive cycle is complete, repeat the process until the SES light no longer comes on. Performing a complete drive cycle forces all monitors to run and complete their tests. Each step outlines which monitor it will run. Each step must be performed EXACTLY as outlined. If there's a particular monitor you want to run, just run that step. You don't need to run every monitor, but you do need to perform each step exactly as outlined.

Thanks guys. I ordered the cap, wire, and rotors last night. I got the AC Delco wires. The truck has about 147k on it. I just bought it not long ago and I know the last owner and he was very good with maintenance. Not sure of the owners prior to him.
Not sure of the order the DTC's came up in. Im thinkin I may look into getting my own OBD2 scanner |
