Alternator upgrade
Hello everybody
I have GMC JIMMY 00 with 4-electric fan and I want to install DR44 OR AD244. But, I don't know what is the different between DR44 and DR44G because one which I find is DR44 . Also, what is the size of drive belt I should install ?

From my research
DR44G = 145 amp
DR44 = 160 amps
AD244 = 170 amps
I'm running a DR44G on mine with Intrepid fans, 800 watt stereo, auxiliary lights, and a winch, and it performs well so far. Took a half inch longer belt if I recall correctly.

When I looked into these my research resulted in the correlating the KG3 RPO code for the 145 Amp DR44G alternators.
The part numbers I found for these included 19244751, 19151921, 19244751, 20989650, 22781130, 3211845, and 3212128. These were used on Chevy and GMC trucks and vans from 2003 though 2016 depending on the model and application; e.g. 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 HD, LT, 6.0L V8 - Gas
