also I have upgraded to a ad244 alternator which is a simple install in any blazer jimmy and bravada, Sonoma, s10.

8 Gauge is pretty good for 1 amp usually. I have 4 gauge run to mine but it is a 5 channel. I also used a rubber grommet to run it through the firewall. But your method is fine also.

I've got 4ga on both of my amps, one 1KW mono and one 600W 4ch. Overkill, but I don't want to worry about it. Also, 4ga and 0ga wire just looks killer.

Bro! Thank you!

I sat there scratching my head staring at that firewall that practically every square inch of is covered by SOMETHING! going, Where the hell am I gonna go to get this wire in the cab! And thought well let me do a quick search and found your post! it worked like a charm! That was a life saver mainly because I'm ****ing lazy and didn't wanna have to drill a hole AND because I couldn't spot one place where I could actually drill without removing the hvac housing or anything else. Again, Thank you! Gotta run the ground tomorrow and finish hooking everything up but your post was a real life saver!
