Default Another Spider Injector Question

Alright, I've searched for an answer and could not find what I'm looking for so if it is here I apologize in advanced. I've got a 95 Blazer, about 8 months ago I did a full tune up which included plugs, cap, rotor, fuel filter, fuel pump, and spider. This past Monday the truck died on my way home. It will start with starting fluid and die, once it stayed running til I shut it off. Then wouldn't start. I checked the fuel pressure at the tank and its like 80psi after sitting for ten minutes. When attached to the test port it hits like 60psi and rapidly drops to 30psi within 3-4 minutes. So after making sure there is no visible leaks (plenum off) I've come to the conclusion that it needs a F.P.R. I took the spider apart and cleaned it, ohmed it to ensure it is good (.002 can't get a number to tell me this is an ok number) all looks good in it powered it with 12 volt battery and I can here it activating. So I guess what I'm looking for is can the regulator not let the truck start and should I get that or the whole spider. Also is there anything to do to make sure the spider is good if in fact I should just get the F.P.R. The spider is Ac-Delco re-manufactured b.t.w. Any help is greatly appreciated.
