Another transmission wont shift out of park.....
 

Ok so I searched around and I didnt really find anything with my symptoms. I put my key in the ignition and put it to the on position where it SHOULD be able to be shifter and i press the brake and i hear a clicking behind the dash but nothing at the shifter (console). Any ideas? I can press the little white button thing to the right and it comes out of gear but just curious if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this issue.

Sounds like the shift interlock solenoid is bad. If you would be so kind as to provide your vehicle information...

Sorry about that. Its a 1997 Chevy Blazer, console shift, 4x4, 179xxx miles.
