Automatic Shift Knob

Greetings,

I have a 2001 BlaZeR2 with a column shifter. Is it possible to change out the knob on the end of the shifter?

Thanks in advance.

Yes there is a staple in the back of the shifter, use a screwdriver to pull it out. Find a shifter that can clamp down on the rod.

The Floor shifter knobs have the staple, the column shifter knobs are a press fit.

How do you remove a press fit auto 2004 Blazer shift knob, anyone? Thanks in advance for any clues.

I have a 2001 extreme that the button on the floor shifter when put in park does not engage correctly and will not let me turn the car off all the way sometimes. Is there anything I need to look for when removing the knob from the arm?
