If you haven't changed your fuel filter start with that. There are other possibilities but that is the most common.

Yeah, a lot of possibilities. Does it happen constantly, randomly, when it's hot out, when it's humid, while driving, at stop lights (idle)?

When was the last time you did fuel filter, distributor cap&rotor, clean EGR valve, clean MAF, plugs&wires... start with the PM stuff.:icon_playing:

For faulty parts it depends on circumstances, but could be related to ignition coil/ICM, distributor wiring, distributor...

Less likely, but could be loose electrical connection at fuel pump relay, fuel pump wiring issue, internal ignition switch problem, etc...

In my 97 I had semi-random stalls on hot days that were [MAYBE?] resolved when I replaced the ICM and coil. I also had stalls at idle that were from a torn MAP sensor seal. Also had stalls/no-starts that turned out to be loose and corroded fuel pump relay pins (I bent the relay socket pins jumpering my fuel pump the week before for a tank swap).

The thing is, I could go for an entire month with no issues and then have a dozen stalls in a week under various circumstances (and it'd be fine again the following week).

--------------------
And now that it's warm again, stalling is back!! doh! 18 stalls yesterday in 60 miles, after driving 50 miles in about an hour. Temps only 70-80*. It's NOT the ICM, coil, or fuel pump relay. I suspect fuel pump wiring connector, overheating 5v regulator in PCM, or nearly broken wire for sensors or ignition system.

blazer dies while driving

my 01 does this, and I found issues with my air cleaner, but what really stumps me is the fact that in order to get it running again I have to jump my starter otherwise it just cranks but won't fire, I replaced ignition mod, starter, alternator, distributor cap and rotor. also after it fires again it will backfire 1 good loud time then seem to run ok most of the time

First double check your work in replacing the cap and rotor. Make sure the the cap is down, wires plugged in all the way and in the right spot,. You did use AC Delco for these parts? If not then that can be the problem.

Check the fuel pressure at the manifold and if it's low then that is your problem but I would eliminate that as an issue if nothing else. .

Look at the grounds and the battery cables to see if there's an issue as you did touch them when you did the alternator and and starter.

Any Codes? I would diagnose instead of throw parts at it.
