Ok forget the last post. I've returned the Airtex fuel pump and purchased a delphi one. Wow I would have been done already if I would've gotten the delphi in the first place. For one you only have to splice one wiring harness, two the original fuel lines snap right on and you are good to go. Should be done tonight!

 

i talked to a buddy of mine in so. cal., a mechanic, and he told me that it was the cap or wires. I pulled my dis. cap and cleaned the carbon off of the points (inside) and checked the wires, especially where they mount around the firewall. Everything back together now and GENIUS it runs fine. I don't know if this could also be a problem with yours but you might check it out.

 

Well it is all back together and running great! Took me longer than I wanted it to, but I had never done a fuel pump before. If there is ever a next time it will be done in one night for sure!
