Blinking service engine light

I have a 4.3 2000 blazer today check engine light came on blinking and had a rough idle gas gauge bouncing all over... Any ideas went to pull codes and scanner couldn't find a connection at auto zone any idea on how to fix that as well? Picture just for attention, any help is appreciated.

I think the Check Engine lite blinks a bit as the ECM sets the codes into memory.
Not sure what you mean by could not find a connection at Autozone??...could not find the OBDII connector under the steering wheel, or could not find an Autozone with a GM OBDII cable/connector?

If you could not find the OBDII connector under the dash, then drop the trim panel under the steering column and see if the OBDII connector is there.

If i'm not mistaken, a flashing CEL light is bad...

The guys at AZ couldn't find the OBD port???

Most likely it's a P0300 misfire. Class A misfire that can cause damage to the engine or catalytic convertor

The guys at AZ found the port but couldn't make a connection, I later found a blown fuse going to get the codes pull later today.
