Boiling over

I just did my intake gasket. My blazer runs very good, much smoother, but overheated at 245 degrees today with the AC on. The fan clutch engages at about 215 but it never turned on. I let it cool off on the driveway then released the pressure relief radiator cap. The coolant bubbled ever so slow into the overflow and actually hit the top of the bottle spilling out. COuld this be air in the system or do ihave another problem.? I used those new metal based gaskets from felpro and the mainfold set back in place correctly and tourqued to spec. The TStat is 24 hours old and opens at 195. when i started the truck i topped the rad off and coolant statrd to blow out of the radiator at a moderate speed. Any help would be appreciated because the temp was normal before the intake was done but it was leaking pretty bad no oil in coolant mix though.

RE: Boiling over

Quick questions

1. Does your fan turn on at all?
2. Did you bleed the coolant system?
3. Is your a/c cold?
