Brake & ABS dash light errors

my 2000 blazer dash lights ("brake" & "abs") come on intermitantly. i don't have a code reader (i may buy one). short of that, what does this indicate? i checked my fluid levels and they seem good. thanks

RE: Brake & ABS dash light errors

Most auto parts stores (e.g. autozone, advanced auto) will read the codes for free. It would be much easier to diagnose the issue if you can get the codes read. Also, I found a recall for the ABS System on 2000 (2WD) Blazers. You can look at the recalls on the NHTSA website:

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/pr...callsearch.cfm

I'm not sure if that has anything to do with your problem, but parts that are recalled will be fixed by the dealership at no charge to you, so its worth a shot. Hope this helps.
