Default Broken door

There is a truck I wish to buy, but the rear left door doesn't shut completely. It is missing the rear left spacer on the part of the lock that is on the truck. I unscrewed the two screws that were there to get a look at it, and something (I am going to guess it was the nuts to hold the screws) fell and I heard them clink. I was wondering how to get into that area of the truck to get them out. I looked around and the only way I could see would be to take of a lot of the vinyl coverings. Is there another way or is this the right direction to take?

Default RE: Broken door

You are pretty much correct. You have to pull the interior trim to get to the access holes and then hope you can get a magnet down to where the part(s) fell. A mechanics magnet will help greatly in finding the lost parts.
