Well, I'm on a little road trip, so I can tell more about my problem.

We don't hear the noise like in the video when driving, but sometimes we hear a louder sound.

When I start the engine, sometimes I hear a big KRRRRRRRRR, and if I put A/C ON the noise disapears. When I'm driving, I can hear this noise, sometimes when I slow down, like on a Stop sign, and if I hit the gas pedal the noise disapears.

Yesterday I was driving, and after approx. 15 minutes, with the A/C OFF ( Button on VENT ), I heard that big noise and smelt hot, like if something was burning, so I put the button on A/C, and the noise shut off, but no cold blown.
At home I checked the engine, no noise, but that hot smell from the pulley.

Maybe the pulley bearings are bad, maybe stiff ?

Well ! I've found my problem. The pulley bearing is broken. Look at the picture !

Bingo! There's the problem!

The clutch and pulley were 1 year old, a 4 Seasons remanufactured kit that I bought on rockauto.com . I don't really know why the bearings are broken.

Does anyone know how much oil I must put in my new compressor ?

Piero 10-01-2015 12:06 PM

Well, I've installed my new compressor ( oil quantity was written on a sticker :) ), now it blows cold, and is quiet !!
