A/C depleting when in gear

A/C depleting when in gear
New to forum, go easy please
So I just bought a 95' Blazer and drove it home (about 90 miles) without incident. However upon starting it later that day and putting it into reverse I got a hissing sound with bluish smoke coming from under the hood. I killed the engine and popped the hood and started it again. There was no smoke, however I did notice the A/C pulley starting and stopping intermittently.
I recharged the A/C myself, (pressure was at 0) and started the car. The pulley ran beautifully and I got cold air. I thought the problem was solved. However when I put it in reverse to back out again I got the hissing, the smoke, and the pulley starting and stopping. I popped the hood when it started but couldnt locate the leak.
Can anyone think of why it could be depressurizing when I put it in gear, (but runs fine when in park)?

You may have 'Weird Problem of the Week'.
Check the bolt that holds the lines to the compressor.

what i would do is back that truck into a tree and leave it in reverse and try to pin point where its coming from. the compressor going on and off is normal. mine has been doing that for years.
could be too maybe your belt tensioner is going out and the belt is sliding around at low rpms due to being in reverse.

A can of A/C dye should pinpoint the problem pretty quickly.

update
I recharged the AC in order to test it and it hasn't happened again...I almost wish it would so I can figure out what the problem is

Sounds like maybe u have a broken motor mount since its doing it when its in gear...maybe the motor being torqued is moving something it shouldn't be?
