Post Car not accelerate smoothly!!!

Hi everybody

Because of Covid-13 I don't use my car for long time I use my dad car because I don't found park near house in these days but today I use my 00 Jimmy to go junkyard and I notice that when the car accelerate it slow down very fast after I remove my foot from accelerator pedal I feel like there is some resist that let my car act like that but I don't know what is this thing.

Anyone have this problem before if yes from where I should start to check?

thank you

Take it out of gear around 5 mph and see if the truck coasts to a slow stop with no grab at the end,

George

Does it feel or sound like a stuck caliper? Can jack up each tire and try to turn them while on jacks and in neutral.

Always make sure vehicle can't fall off jacks by giving it a nudge before going under.

I did first exactly what you say before I do the method that George tell me. When I jack front of car up and spin the front wheels it's directly stop and I can hear some scratching sound from the brake rotor but I don't know if the problem from brake caliper or the brake rotor.

It sounds like the calipers are sticking. If your able to pull the brake apart, you should be able to push the piston back in by hand, or with pliers. If you can't or its extremely hard to, then I would suggest looking into swapping out the caliper.

Rebuilding is good if you can get a kit. Its not too hard.
