Cat help! Mines different

Hey i have a 2000 blazer 2 door v6 ive been hearing a rattling and feeling the heat in my floorboards i know my cats honeycomb has fallen apart but im broke so is their going to be any problems if i just take the cat section from my exhaust and weld in an exhaust tube and create a delete type of thing using my factory flanges what are the pros and cons ive lost alot of power and just need to get it taken care of. Would it really affect backpressure that much

Why not fix it properly? A universal weld in cat can be purchased for $50.

where did you find that? ive been looking around and $129 is the best i can find. and would a universal cat flow the right back pressure?

Having the "right" back pressure is a myth.

I have found them cheaper elsewhere, but the Magnaflow 94006 is available from summitracing.com for $67.95.
