Cat Rattle?

Hi All-

I seem to be having the classic symptoms of the cat breaking up. A rattling noise at low speeds or when stopped in gear. Sounds like its coming from right where the exhaust is. Lately I've been noticing a lack of power especially when climbing hills and the like. I don't know any good muffler shops so I am looking at getting a direct-fit cat off ebay. Does anybody have any experience with these? Also I was planning on replacing the muffler with a cherrybomb turbo, does anybody have any suggestions on that?

If the bolts come out easily, its an easy job. Might require some heat to get them loose. Be sure to get the gaskets. I have no experience with the turbo muffler, i used flowmaster and love it.

I'm thinking about getting a weld-in cat and just welding up the system. Doesn't look too bad. I found a cat on ebay for 52 bucks shipped to my front door. I think I can do that and the turbo for around 100 bucks (granted I know how to weld)

Yeah, if you can weld its a lot easier, just cut and weld. If you have a problem with the downstream o2 sensor you can raise it out of the stream with some spark plug non foulers. I had to do that with my hi flow.
