Changing rear brake dust shields?

Mine crumbled away and I bought a new set of them only to realize that the rear hubs don't have a big nut like the fronts :icon_no: How does one do this? Sorry if it's a simple answer but I don't have access to the vehicle until monday and I didn't see any simple way to disassemble it myself so I'm wondering if this IS something that can be quickly fixed without dropping the rear end or anything? Thanks

I know it's like the last thing I should be worried about, but I got the new plates and don't like the thought of part of my car being rotted away :icon_shrug:

If my memeory serves me correctly you are going to have to pull the rear axles out. This is going to involve opening up the rear diff.nd draining out the fluid, removing the C-clips and pulling out the axles Also I would recomend changing out the axle seals while they are out. If I am wrong on this please someone correct me but I do not think I am. Then you simply put everything back together n reverse order and refill the diff. One last thing if you have a G-80 make sure you use the correct fluid that is for the limited slip rear differential.

Not sure if it's a G80 but I know I have an LS diff

Just check the build tag with all of the codes, it is the sticker on the glove box door and look for G80. Good luck.

Thats a G80 and yes you have to pull the rear axles out. I just got rid of mine when I got a new rear end. They dont do much.
