Changing Spark Plugs 2000 Blazer V6
How do you remove the spark plug that is just below the steering column? The only way that is possible would be to raise the engine by disconnecting the motor mount. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks for your help
Do a search, lots of info on this as mentioned.
A shorty spark plug socket works good here. This is one I have, around $20.

There is a thread about this on here, but what worked for me was to just unbolt the steering column from the steering box. Then use some wire to hold the column up out of the way. Sounds harder than it is; I spent longer trying to figure out how to do it with the column in place than it took to unbolt it and put it back.
Your local parts store will carry the socket with a knuckle on it for that plug. Its still a pain in the ***. I can break the plug lose with the socket then I have to put a short plug socket on the plug and do the finger dance inching the plug out little by little. Then the fun of putting the new one in almost makes your day! Once you get the plug and the threads line up you are good to go inch by inch very slowly....You can take out and replace all the other plugs by the time you get this one out and back in. Thanks Chevy!
I do the same thing as 4x4blazerguy,excepy I use an old plug wire that I cut.Once I get it loose,I put the plug wire piece on it and twirl it out. To make this easier I always use never-seize as well!
