Exclamation Check Gauge light !!!!

Hello everybody

I have a problem with my 00 GMC JIMMY and the problem is when I start the car the oil pressure is perfect it is exactly in the middle the after like 30 min and the car reach the operating temp the pressure nearly become zero at idle and the check gauge light on and the car engine run rough but the rpm is stable. When I accelerate the oil pressure increase to quarter of oil pressure gauge and it accelerate a little slower then when the oil pressure was in the half also, I notice that the oil pressure increase little bit if I switch off the a/c and check gauge light go off but it is still very low oil pressure.

I use 5W-30 Liqui Moly Oil.

What the problem can be from ?

Thank you

I would check proper levels when cold to be obvious... other then that, i would start seeing on how to see if your oil pump is good... mine is always above half when warming up and middle when at temp and idle...

Hi

Today I pull out the dipstick to check the oil level twice before I start my car and the level over the top

Do you have coolant in the oil due to bad intake gaskets? Is the oil milky-looking after running? Needs to be at proper levels. An external mechanic's test gauge is the way to tell if oil pressure is really bad. Good luck!

Today I check the oil not milky, I already replaced the intake gasket before 2 years ago. What is the external mechanic's test gauge exactly can you specify brand or upload photo of it please?

thank you

Look up an
ACDelco 25013767 ACDelco 25013767
. It goes under your oil filter on a 2 wheel drive or under the factory oil cooler sandwich plate on the block on a 4 wheel drive. That is what killed my original engine and had the same symptoms. If you're oil pressure is really that low you'll eat a a main or a rod bearing very quickly. I hate to be a downer but better safe than sorry.
