Default Check gauges light on Help!!

Hey just recently i began noticing that my check gauges light comes on. It
only comes on when i'm in a complete stop, the oil pressure goes down, the voltage goes down, and my gas meter goes down as well. but not the engine temperature. It comes on and stays on until i start to drive. The oil is fine.
I have a new battery, alternator, belt, belt tensioner and idle pulley. I know i need to do the tune-up, could that be the problem for the light to come on?

Hey Blazer51! That light usually only comes on when a gauge that is not being properly monitored needs attention. A tune up should have no impact on this lamp illuminating. You stated the fuel gauge is also affected, this gives me some red flags as this may be a cluster problem;because when ones engine gets back to idle the oil pressure will drop and charging status will drop slightly. As pettyfog asked:do your lamps dim at this time? If so you my have a faulty voltage regulator(located within the alternator)and this is common with re-man units! Have that alternator checked and if it is bad, buy a new one(not rebuilt)you won't have to deal with that issue again! Let us know! step66

Hey thanks for replying to my thread. Well I haven't taken it to get tasted because when I bought it it was new not rebuild. But ill take it in to get it checked. Also my lights do not dim at all, yesterday I checked all fluid levels and noticed my transmission fluid was very low so I added more fluid and the light currently hasn't come on ill just have to wait and see. The weird thing is now how did I loose so much fluid. Its not leaking I got new seals alll around.
