Codes & Stalling
I could use some help on the subject as well i have a 96 gmc jimmy 4x4 right now its pulling 2 codes p0122 and p1406 but my problem is when the ABS and brake light come on there's a shudder and I have no power. Some times it happens then goes away 3 sec later but it has stalled on me a few times also but it has no problem starting right back up any ideas? anyone

I moved your post into a thread of its own in the 2nd Gen Tech section instead of the 'ABS & ParkingBrake light problem????' thread which you posted it in initially as I do not think that the problem is your brakes.
The two codes you are getting are as follows:
P0122 - Throttle Position Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
P1406 - EGR Valve Pintle Position Circuit
Now, your loss of power, shuddering, stalling, and/or ABS/parking brake light illumination problem could possibly be caused by a failing ignition switch.

well i fixed the p1406 but my TPS is still a problem i checked the reference wire it measured 5.03V but when i checked the sensor wire from closed throttle to WOT it only measured 0.35V and raised to 3.32V(wot) I've done this with 2 different sensors now new thing happening also The MIL light turns on and off at random times while driving. Starting to think its a ground but i cant trace it

I had to replace the EGR valve new gasket, but old EGR from a wreaked junker with 96000 miles on it but it stopped the p1406 dtc.
Also quick question looking at the wiring dia. it shows the sensor wire going back to the vcm. today i pulled the connectors off and could not find continuity to any of the vcm connecting pins. Is that a problem?
thanks so much for the help

Could you recap the persistent problems you are experiencing? Sounds like your TPS is still acting up, but what are the driveability symptoms? Does it still stall? Under what conditions? Can you keep it running?

problems are back
while driving the other day around 2000 rpm my engine stuttered, MIL light came on also the brake and abs light then it stalled. I started it back up brake light was off but abs and MIL was still on going home again at about 2000 rpm the brake light flashed the car stuttered but didn't die. i got home and pulled the same codes(p1406 p1022) but they are intermittent

i started probing with my dmm, i pulled the egr electrical connector i found only 2 with voltage. one with 5.05V i think thats the reference from vcm, the other was about 11.32V i think thats my ignition wire causing DTC
