Cold Start Problem??? I Think
Ok folks, need some help here with a recent problem I am having. I have a 2004 S Blazer and recently noted that after sitting for more than a couple days, it won't start. It happened to me 2-3 times before I realized that it did it when it was sitting at the fire station and I was on shift for 2.5 days straight.
I went out and it would crank, crank, crank, but no start....then it would pop at teh throttle body, smoke a bit and smeel extremely rich. I would wait some time and crank it and eventually it would start. About 3 days ago it did it again, but it never started and it actually killed the battery from cranking so much. Put it on the charger, went back about 30 minutes later and cranked the crap out of it and it finally chugged to a very rough start. The only other time it did it when it had not been sitting, was when it was parked on a hill and was facing up the hill. Had to challenge it to start.
Any body have any thoughts?
Thanks
