compass/ outside temp
 

new to this forum and and just purchased a 2002 s10 blazer zr2. got a few minor issues, the compass /outside temp gauge not working . checked fuses ,went thru set up as per manual, nothing .i know that this sounds petty but i like all things to work like they are supposed to. any info is appreciated , thx in advance .

So the whole overhead console display is not functioning? Have you checked for power/ground at the back of the display module?

I'll see if I can find a wiring schematic for you.. How many buttons do you have on your overhead display?

om/off 2 buttons , have not had time or the desire to til we get out of this 99% humidity .st.lou humidity kills me . will check ground tomorrow when cooler . is it just the screw in center of overhead console? have not bought an idiot book( haynes ,chilton) yet. is one better than other or buy both and your covered mostly? got nothing at console , no display at all, sunroof works flawlessly.

That is the basic overhead console. I was able to locate a few different schematics (attached), but they seem contradictory. I believe that the first one is the one you want.
