Coolant help

Hi all,

I have a 99 Blazer with the 4.3 vortec. Since I bought it (1 year ago), it has leaked coolant intermittently. I have added around 1-1.25 gallons to it this year.

The thermostat has been replaced as it had an overheating issue in the past. I am visually seeing coolant directly in front of engines around belt. The coolant is traveling from there dripping and some rolls to the oil pan and drips.

I will attach pictures later, but is this something I need to be concerned about? There is NO coolant in the oil.

Please advise as it is going to be a daily driver in a week in a half.

Could be a bad water pump. Could be weeping coolant from the weep hole in the front of the pump..

If you want to continue to drive it, yes you should be concerned:icon_slap2:

It's been leaking for a year, and has not gotten worse.. It only leaks 1/2 the time it sits, it is not an extremely bad leak.. Maybe water pump? It never runs hot the truck

It may start to leak worse when it becomes a daily driver..Jerry...as written before me, look closely @ the 'weep' hole on the water pump..
