Thanks for the explanation. Today it's raining so I'll wait for better weather.

There is no mention in this thread of what year this vehicle is? A picture would be helpful. If you're comfortable posting the 17 character VIN, that would help determine exactly what systems and options the vehicle is equipped with. It will also determine what country the vehicle was built in, and if it was built for domestic use, and whether it was built for export to another country.

It was built in Linden, New Jersey, (USA) on 23 May, 1997. Originally it had CMFI, (Central Multiport Fuel Injection). It may have been upgraded, (since manufacture) to CSFI, (Central Sequential, Fuel Injection). Some vehicles are built for export, but I would need a picture of the RPO code list in the glove box to know for certain. The list tells all equipment that the vehicle was equipped with when it was built, along with some other information about the vehicle.

It's not an export model, it was imported to Sweden in 2004. The guy we bought it from about a year ago said something about that he had changed the fuel injection, must have been the upgraded system. I can post a picture of it if you like.

I will post picture of the optionlist too.

Thinking this ^^^ should have been post #2 A lot of people have thrown money at parts trying to solve their no start issue. Many times from what I have seen on here it is the fuel delivery system.

Yes my thoughts are now on the fuelsystem. When it stops raining I'll check the fuelpressure at the filter. It has been raining here for three days in a row now and still does...

Thanks

Nice truck, has some good options. Not that it matters, but one of the codes indicates it was originally purchased by Enterprise rent a car. Let us know the fuel pressure results.

Thanks,

Yes I decoded it yesterday from the PDF that is found here in this site. I saw that it was a fleet order for Enterprise. Do you know were the datecodes are.

I have a '69 Camaro and are involved in decoding them and the datecode on them can be important for authencity. Not that it matter on this one but it could be fun to know.

My thought is long fetched but if it was a really early production it might have been part of the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta since it was delivered to Smyrna in Georgia.
