CURRY got a BLAZER!!!
Im a Blazer Forum newby(virgin), and I could use some advise on the 98 blazer I just bought. Blazer was hit on the front drivers tire area but the tire took most of damage. Totaled and released by insurance....I bought it for $50!!!! 4.3liter with 84,000 miles.
Front drivers tire now sticks out a good 6 inches past straight ahead.....steering arms, tie rods, etc....no big deal. Looking under the hood I noticed that the frame is bent directly at the curve above the wheel. and is bent inwards twards the engine. SEEMS TO BE LEANING AGAINST THE MAIN STEERING COLOMN. when wheel is mounted, tire rubs on body. when no wheel is mounted, steering is still very stiff...... ANY COMMENTS, IDEAS, AND OR ADVICE SOMEBODY CAN GIVE ME WOULD REALLY HELP... I GOTTA BAD FEELING ITS NOT FIXABLE WITHOUT ANOTHER BLAZER TO CHOP UP. THANX, CURRYSTYLE |
i say pull the drive train and just take what you want or that is still good and buy a diff blazer that has drivetrain prob. and swap it all...all that stuff just sounds like trouble if you ask me ..

You'll have to get the frame pulled to get it back in spec before attempting the more remove/replace type repairs.

Welcome to the forum!

Thanx bro. Appreciate that.

Welcome!

Frame straightening is about $1000 up here in Ottawa. You can try that or save the drive train, and buy a truck with no drive train.
