Default Damaged Fuel Tank Vent?. Now what?

2000 Chevy Bazer 4.3L 4 Door and 4 wheel drive. Plastic Fuel Tank.

I determined via pressure tests that the fuel pump was in need of replacement. I lowered the tank and upon inspection, noticed that the small ****** valve on on the furthermost side opposite the fuel pump (appears to be a vent to me) was damaged. The underside of valve (where it connects to the body of the valve) had a hole in it. I believe on models 1996 and earlier the vent (if this is what it is, looks nearly the same) was replaceable. Is this model replaceable as well. I've searched the auto stores around here, but nothing is available for this model. However the 1996 and earlier is available. How do I repair this without replacing the tank, because it seems to be unavailable as well for the 4 door, but not the 2 door.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, the right pic (close-up) is the valve I am referring to. The hose that was connected didn't have a clamp on it nor did it appear to ever had a clamp on it as there were no clamp marks. I am unsure of if it is mounted permanently or not. The 1996 or earlier lists it as replaceable. I don't think its molded to it because its a different type of plastic, however it may be glued.

It has a hole/tear in it that clearly should not be there. If i knew exactly what it was and its purpose I might could repair it, but can't find any info. In other words if its a non pressurized breather then it could possibly be epoxied with gasoline safe epoxy (if there even is such a thing). Any info. is greatly appreciated. If you go to a parts store website and type in fuel tank vent it pulls up a replacement that look nearly the same as the one on my tank, but its not for the newer models.

Ok am I missing something? This is weird! The tank that is on my 2000 year model blazer is the tank that is on the 1995-1998 models. The 95-98 model tank has the replaceable vent valve. OE Part number 911-011 made by dorman and it is the same set up as mine except my valve wont come off. Its as if they glued it to the tank??? What's the deal? It wasn't rigged in and attached in a odd way. All straps and mounting bolts for tank were correct.

Just use epoxy to seal it up.

The vent should be removable. Rotate it 90 degrees and pull up. First time I dropped my tank I did that to mine but I fixed it with 2 part plastic epoxy. Sanding it and cleaning with alcohol is key ( don't just slap epoxy on).
