Ok so during the day the compass works, when i flip the switch or its night time none of these work. The guages, temp control swtiches and the compass all stay dark, but my gear indicator, SES light etc. still work. Ive checked my fuses and they are all fine. Any idea how i could fix this? My haynes manual just tells me how to take the dash appart to get to the guages.

maybe a connection problem when you turn the lights on. or maybe it is a short and when you turn the lights on the signal/power to those lights does not get there. you might check into replacing your light switch. but i would hope that one of the "Big wig" players on the site who knows every thing.

Had the same problem. I move the dimmer dial up and down real fast several times. Seems to have fixed the problem. Don't know why but it did

 

yeah, i had to get my dimmer in just the right position for it to work, and then one day it just shut off and messing with it hasnt helped thus far. It was odd though it turned on briefly until i hit a speed bump then it went out again.
