Engine Code P101
 

My 2004 ZR2 has no power. it takes it a while to get up to speed since when I put my foot down on the gas pedal farther than half way, it revs way high, and has no thrust. I took it to an AAMCO thinking it was transmission problems. They did a full check (so they say) and came up with nothing. They even took it for a test drive and said it was fine. The only thing I found out is that this is not the place to get it fixed. later that day it got worse. I am getting coughing and sputtering and my check engine light came on. So to Autozone I went to get my free test to see what it may be. P101 was the engine code MAF sensor. Now I had just replaced it a year ago, and it was the problem. Do they go bad that fast? Instead of replacing it, I just got the cleaner since it is a lot cheaper than the MAF sensor that I cant
't return if it is the problem.
Has this happened to anyone else out there? If so, tell me what happened to you and how it was fixed.. Thanks So Much....
Oh, and the cleaner did nothing.
