Erratic Idle HELP
So I had a thread a little while ago asking what to do about a low idle, and hesitation when accelerating. I was advised to clean both the MAF and the IAC valve. After having cleaned them both and putting it all back together, the idle is now all over the place; everywhere from 300 to 1000 rpms. I also noticed that my speedometer needle has for some reason stuck itself at 100 mph, I have never gone that fast in this thing lol, but it happened after I put Stomper back together. So I guess my question would be is there a certain amount of time that I need to run her for? Or a reset type thing I need to do? Or is it just a bad IAC valve that needs to be replaced?

Yes , I tried to assist on Your alternator thread so I'm familiar with issues at hand ... the mass air flow sensor uses VERY fine wire elements that are sensitive to touch - if more than spray cleaner was done , the continuity of the sensor may be broken . Your engine will idle unevenly with very poor
throttle response . The idle air control valve is an electromagnet with a shaft mounted plunger . When cleaning , it is important to avoid getting any solvents inside the housing with the windings which will short out if that happens .
