Filler Neck to Tank
I have a 1996 4dr. Blazer. I just dropped the tank and the rubber hoses (1-21/4in and 1- 11/8in) were old and I cut them thinking I would replace them. I cannot find these 2 hoses anywhere. Can anyone give me an idea of where to buy one?

Boneyard, dealer, good auto parts store, (not AZ, Advance or O'Reilly), or a marina. Must be fuel rated hose, NOT radiator hose.

thank you

No problem, Barry, welcome to the forum.

They handle a lot of Truck parts (Semis, dumps, etc). Being in a rural area (not big city) probably helps. |
Yes,some NAPA jobbers have it,most don't.When I had to do a fuel pump job in rural eastern Montana,I had to scrounge from antique trucks to get these!Call first or have this hose on hand, which isn't usually possible! This is why I am now called a hoarder...

I had to replace one probably 8 years ago. Got a piece of replacement hose from NAPA that was gasoline resistant, probably a foot long. Don't remember what it was suppose to fit but I cut a piece long enough to work and had no problem with it. Had to put in new pump in same 97 Jimmy last fall and I had managed to keep the leftover part all that time and cut another piece off and used it. Still have enough to do it again one of these days, although I pray my luck will get better. One repair job I really do dread.

I found both pieces at Napa. Thanks for all the help. It was a pain in the butt as usual. I've never dropped the tank on something and it be fun. What is the black plastic "vent" at the front of the tank? It connects to the evap canister.
