ok, so Im an idiot. I admit it. Freely. granted my wife would have stated that a lot earlier, but every once in a while I do something just totally freaking stupid and remind myself that I am an idiot....

So when i origionally pushed the 0 gauge wire through the grommet in the passenger footwell I noticed that it hit the plug wire for the rear cylinder on that side. didnt think much about it... Now when I pulled OUT the 0 gauge wire and re ran my 4 gauge wire I didnt even look at that damn plug wire... I DO know that these 4.3L V6 motors do NOT like to run on 5 cylinders now. yup, the darn wire had been pulled off the back plug on the passenger side. put it back on and my truck is once again working good.

Just goes to show that sometimes it is definately best to step back and try again the next day once you get frustrated....

I have a performance 5 cylinder 4.3. its got a cam and needs to be tuned not to stall..

LOL

anyways...im glad you found the issue.

I had a bad plug wire that would pop loose. i was in mcdonalds drivethru and it popped out and the truck was under a canopy thing so it was echoing(open exhaust too). Dude walks up to the window and asked "dude that sounds sweet is it cammed?" i played dumb and said yea,and twin turbo'd and drove off. Dude had a serious "omg cool" look on his face.

Just out of curiosity, what's the build date on the sticker on the drivers door?
