flowmaster tail pipe

Installing a flowmaster muffler, dont want 3 clamps or connections. went down to advanced and they let me look at 21/2 in pipes. 2004 dodge dakota is very close. Bought one and gonna see what I can do. Will up date when done. this weekend

I put a Flowmaster muffler on my Blazer several years ago. The muffler "tucks up" higher than the large OEM and does not show from the side view; much cleaner look. I had an extension pipe and new Walker tailpipe all welded in as I do not like clamps either.

Good luck.

well, daylight is short and I was lazy and in a rush, and used clamps! LOL But I agree, it does tuck up nicely and sounds good, Had cut about half the dakota pipe off and throw in an elbow to get out the side. But its 2.5 from muffler back. Probably doesnt mean anything but aesthetics

Looking at a the Flowmaster super 10 and super 40 for my 2000 Blazer. What do you guys think? Anybody have either of these on their Blazer?

newguy 12-17-2015 06:49 PM

Super 10 is the loudest one they make

[QUOTE=newguy;658788]Super 10 is the loudest one

Is it legal and will it pass emissions?

Years ago I had a set of(40 series Flowmaster) mufflers on my malibu. The sound wasn`t that loud at all.It had an aggresive sound to it.The flowmasters are a great, well made product. The lower the number...Louder they get.You may want to stick with the 40 series. For some reason, the G.M. 4.3 has an annoying sound to it, just doesn`t sound right with aftermarket mufflers.I was never a big fan of having an OEM style mufflers, until I bought my blazer.Nice and quite.
