Found My Rattle
Found my rattle in the blazer. This is how they installed the shock. Sure, why WOULD you need to bolt it in or even put it in the hole it belongs in.
On the front shock there was no washer over rubber bushing and they used the wrong nut so it did not go all the way down the threads.
But the scariest was the u bolts on the rear-end. It is lowered with 2 inch blocks on the back. The u bolts almost touch the ground(cut them down). But the pass side was so loose you can move the lowering block up and down a good 1/4". Since the u bolts where loose the leaf springs where twisting out. Positioned them back in place and tighten the u bolts and much better now.
Some people just don't belong near a car.

I couldn't agree more with your comment, "some people just don't belong near a car." In all my years I have seen some things done to cars and trucks that scared the poop out of me. I'm not talking about ugly body mods, but suspension and drivetrain "improvements" that were downright dangerous.
